Must-Have Accessories for Your Digital Camera
I’ve seen these accordian-like things to shield ambient light on digital camera LCDs, but this advertisement pushes the boundaries of sanity.
“Hand crafted by professionals with over 100 years experience!” it claims. I didn’t know we had digital cameras and notebook computers a hundred years ago. And dang, that’s a bunch of really old people making these things.
My guess is that an accordion factory went bust due to the dot com crash, and rather than retire, the very old workers adapted their skills for the new millenium.

You failed to look closely at the webpage I guess. The comapny has made bellows for large format cameras for over 100 years. They have never made acordions from what I know of them. In fact, they still make bellows for large format cameras today, since it is still a very large market (I know, I use one), but they have expanded their product base to include the new concepts of digital cameras and laptops. I think you should read a little more info. before you write an opinion like this.

It is pretty clear that my observations were hardly scientific nor opinion-based. They were out of good humour (which apparently gone awry).
On a user standpoint though. The ad states, in bold print no less, that "these items are hand crafted ..." and shows pictures of a digital camera and a notebook computer. The onus is not on the user to read the small print and decipher the information, it's on the business who wants to make the money.
Just my two cents (probably worth less, but oh well).
