Trial By Fire
The new design is up and ready for testing. Drop a comment if you experience any problems. I’ve already seen the box model crash on IE5/Win, and heard that the sidebar on the right doesn’t display on IE6/Win.
I’ve tested it on Safari, Mozilla and IE5/Mac. The XHTML and CSS validates, but that means nothing if you can’t read it.
So fire away. Comments, criticisms, wishlists or problems.

hey, how did you do the fire effect?
When i first went into the website... haha i thought it was some goth kinda site because of the fire. Hm I like the way it was classified into the different days. Couldn't tell that before.
Its a lot neater. 4 stars. hehe
the text looks good. Reminds me of the newspapers.
The new design looks alright to me but personally I don't like the effect of the fire, other than that... everything seems fine.

looks great from where i'm sitting (win xp, ie 6.0), and i like the flame effect.
i think the overall effect is quite masculine - by that i mean that i think my first impression of looking at this site as a first time reader would be that it was a guy's weblog. not that i thought your previous designs were feminine! oh, i'll shut up now.

hmm. deviates quite alot from the simple lines of your previous blog, but hey, it's your blog. the font of your links (Home/Photolog...) looks too... time new roman-ish... sort of like, wearing a suit with sandals. you get what i mean? other than that... it's interesting. =) yep, i like the date/day thing too.
Overall looks fine.
But the grey and orange don't seem to go very well together.
the fire... seems outta place.
Looks nice. It's giving me this hellrider Harley Davidson feeling with the fire and the black background. Heheh. ;)

Everyone seems to be talking about some 'fire effect', but strangely, I see none. Other than that, nice. :)
nice.. but i prefer the previous one. more elegant but this one's cool too. =)
The fire is well rendered, but is too strong on the page, it's taking all the attention away from the important content. Just my two cents worth. :)
Love the format but i somehow think the design does not go with you.I tend to think you are the soft but strong type.
