Happy New Year people! I spent the golden moment in an elevator trying to get to the top floor of my apartment block, missing the launching of the flares from ships off the coast. Then I spent the next few minutes on the top floor hoping some failure of a sailor would launch his flares five minutes after. While I was waiting, fireworks that lasted five minutes long were illuminating the sky, visible from the other side of the apartment block. Of course when I finally realised that and ran there, they stopped.
How did you spend your golden moment?
i didn't know that ships celebrate with flares and fireworks at the start of a new year. They really do that?
In church. In the midst of people yet feeling so alone.
I think it's good enough that I ended the eve with some frens from the church, praying for people, ourselves & the leaders. Decided to pass up the chance for clubbing so spent the countdown with my beloved laptop. I can be alone by myself but not feeling the least lonely.
i spent mine in church too. at first i thought i'll feel lonely coz my bf couldn't be there as he was feeling really tired. But i had a wonderful time. God is soOoOOOoo good.
Had a quiet countdown at home after dinner with my cell, though they went on to church ... =)
@ cas's home.. bitching about how lousy the ny party is. keke.typical.
Goodness! Strange little coincidences never end with you, do they?!
Let's see...New Year's eve. Hm, ended up at my friend's house with about 10 others, wearing my pink fluffy Sweet 16 dress from 3 years back. Hey man, I had nobody to kiss at midnight. Might as well start the new year in...uh...11th grade style. Well, I give myself the thumbs up for still fitting into the dress.
Sounds like Singapore has a pretty cool celebration! I'm so there...one day. Hopefully.
clifton and i went to bug take at his place and the radio did the countdown thing. after which we went to the carpark and saw some fireworks. pretty pathetic way to spend new year's if u ask me but it was ok :)
There was a little bit of merrymaking in a tiny semi-d in the eastern part of Singappore. I was surrounded by loved ones yet I felt alone. Why? Cos my love was far . . . far away.
The usual. Watching countdown on TV with my family, far far away from the crowds on the streets! :)
