I was shooting photos for Aaron and Belinda on Saturday. When Uncle Ming Seong asked Aaron, “Will you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?”, a voice shouted from the back of the hall.
“No!”
My daughter decided to join in the festivities.
Someone in the crowd commented that she had answered correctly. She had no intention of taking Belinda as her wife.
By the way, the longest word we’ve ever heard Anne say is “parallelogram”. She occasionally makes an irregular shape with her fingers and says “trapezium!”, thanks to Aunty Louelle who thought normal shapes were beneath her niece.
How impressive that a two year old can say parallelogram and trapezium! I thought a two year old who could pronounce my name perfectly was pretty good, but now I’m really impressed! How quickly they grow!
=D go anne! now for rhombus, pentagons, octagons and so on. hahaha
Haha! I wonder what will Louanne teach Anne, if Louelle teaches her polygons! ;)
Awwww, so cute, so like Anne. You got a video of that by any chance?
louanne will teach her van gogh, picasso and mondrian! but she may need to be a little older. :)
Not only is she such a clever little girl, she’s soooo cute! Can put more photos, please?!
Haha! Not Gucci, Prada and Manolo Blahniks? ;)
How’s NYC?
Sorry, I am stumped. Why did someone shout no?
Why she had no intention of taking Belinda as her wife?
Things could be clear in your mind, but not to readers’ minds. Hence, you would have to elucidate.
I was re-reading your article. You could have made reading easier for your readers if you could have just added as follows :-
“My daughter, Anne, decided to join in the activities.”
“Someone in the crowd commented that Anne had answered correctly. She had no intention of taking Belinda as her wife.”
From the wedding incident you suddenly jumped to shapes and parallelogram.
Just a sentence to make transition smoother.
This is one small example of Anne’s precociousness. She never failed to amaze us. Once she suddenly uttered the word “parallelogram”………
Joan is right. Anne is clever and cute. Would love to see her photos too.
Cheers to more blogging.
Hi Kamlette,
apologies if I wasn’t clear. My daughter shouted “no!”, because she was talking to her cousin a few feet away from her. She still has problems controlling her volume, but the timing was impeccable.
Haha, kids say the darndest things at the darndest time!
Wow, Anne is so “cheem”. Jon just started learning trapezoids this week!
Happy Mother’s Day to dear Faith =)
Come on guys, give Lucian a break and not subject him to a lesson on better English! If I may say so, Lucian’s writing is excellent, and many of his blogs have so far been incisive and thought-provoking.
Keep it up man. I had no problems understanding the post. :)
