Double Standards

Let me get this straight:
You <a href="http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2001909527_coffin22m.html">get fired</a> if you take <a href="http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/coffin_photos/dover/">photos of coffins covered with a USA flag</a>, but you become the <a href="http://www.nppa.org/competitions/best_of_still_photojournalism/2004/winners/still/index.cfm?category=NPY&place=1st">Newspaper Photographer of the Year</a> if you took <a href="http://www.nppa.org/competitions/best_of_still_photojournalism/2004/winners/still/index.cfm?category=NPY&place=1st&image=22">photos of uncovered dead Liberians</a>.
Was it bad photo composition?
